Newark – Whisman Giordano & Associates, LLC announces that the firm has received the highest rating of “pass” with no deficiencies and no letter of comments from a rigorous peer review of its accounting and auditing practice. Under the standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), firms can receive a pass, pass with deficiencies, or fail.
The AICPA Peer Review Program is the profession’s commitment to enhancing a firm’s accounting and auditing practice quality. According to the AICPA, “The peer review helps to monitor a CPA firm’s accounting and auditing practice. The goal of the practice monitoring, and the program itself, is to promote and enhance quality in the accounting and auditing services provided by the CPA firms subject to these standards.” Firms participating in the Peer Review Program must have an independent review of its accounting and auditing practice every three years. This review was conducted under the auspices of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants following standards issued by the AICPA.
President and Managing Partner Joseph V. Giordano said in a statement, “We are incredibly proud to receive a “pass” from our peer review. It proves that we are equally committed to technical expertise and ethical behaviors as we are to building extraordinary relationships with our clients. This is yet another successfully completed peer review for us. Our next one is in 2023, and we expect to achieve the very same score.”
