With General Manager Neil Olshey leading the Trail Blazers’ coaching search, I believe owner Jody Allen and the Blazers organization are in trouble, as do many others. When you have a general manager who represents your organization like he does, you are in trouble. There will be candidates who have been NBA coaches before, and most of them have not won a championship or have a very good record.
It is time the organization gets a younger coach who has played in the NBA and coached in the NBA with the Miami Heat; has transformed the University of Michigan team into winners in a short time; and knows defense. That man is Juwan Howard. He can make a good change as Blazers coach, and anything less will be the same going forward. If Jody Allen wants a respected person in charge of her basketball team, she should fire Olshey. He is a cancer representing her organization.
